The Montreal Canadiens didn’t have enough left in the tank to extend the 2nd round to a seventh game back in Montreal, as the Tampa Bay Lightning saved their best game of the series for last, beating the Habs 4-1, and ending the season for “Les Glorieux”.

Despite outshooting, out-chancing and overall outplaying the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Montreal Canadiens couldn’t get more than a soft goal by Ben Bishop and lose 2-1 in Double Overtime.

The Montreal Canadiens finally scored the first goal in a hockey game in this series, and it proved to be enough, as Carey Price shut the door the rest of the way, giving the Montreal Canadiens a 2-0 win in Ottawa and a first round series win 4-2 against the pesky Ottawa Senators.

Despite outstanding goaltending from Carey Price, the Montreal Canadiens left their hearts in Mont-Tremblant and couldn’t finish off the Ottawa Senators, who won 1-0, forcing a Game 5 tilt back at the Bell Centre on Friday night.
