Calgary Flames forward Rene Bourque will face a disciplinary hearing with the Department of Player Safety on Monday afternoon for his hit against Chicago’s Brent Seabrook in Sunday’s game at the United Center.
The hit happened with 4:35 left in the first period and sent Seabrook head-first into the boards in the Chicago zone. Bourque was assessed a five-minute major penalty and game misconduct for the hit, while Seabrook was helped off the ice. Seabrook did not return to the game.
