Louis Leblanc notches two goals, including second consecutive OT winner

HAMILTON, ONTARIO – Louis Leblanc is officially Mr. Clutch.

The Bulldogs forward scored the overtime winner for the second consecutive game as Hamilton (3-1-0-2) topped the Rochester Americans (3-3-0-0) at Copps Coliseum on Friday evening.

Bulldogs forward Nick Tarnasky opened the scoring on the power play with his fourth goal of the season at 11:22 of the first period, with assists credited to forward Erik Nystrom and defenceman Joel Chouinard.

Hamilton jumped out to a 2-0 lead just 2:10 into the second period, when Leblanc fired a wrist shot from the high slot past Rochester goaltender Nathan Lieuwen on the power play, with assists going to forward Ben Duffy and defenceman Magnus Nygren.

Following Leblanc’s first marker of the night, there continued to be a flurry of goals through the second period. After a scoreless third period, Leblanc flipped a back hander into the far side corner of the Rochester net at 1:26 of overtime to win it for Hamilton. Defenceman Drew Schiestel and forward Gabriel Dumont earned assists.
